Los propósitos esenciales de la agrupación son:
1. Desarrollar la información, la sensibilidad y el espíritu de participación de los arquitectos en cuestiones relacionadas con el patrimonio arquitectónico.
2. Representante de los intereses generales de sus grupos ante los órganos rectores.
3. Contribuir a la formación y mejora de sus miembros.
4. Contribuir a la defensa, protección, investigación y difusión del patrimonio arquitectónico.
